Product description
REX Duo brake rotors combine the material advantages of different, customised friction and sliding materials and are specially tailored to your application. The Duo brake rotors consist of two material blanks joined together within the manufacturing process.
All requirements of the brake rotor, such as power transmission, braking and holding functions are realised by a combination of specialised friction and sliding materials optimised for the respective function
Characteristics
- lighter than conventional brake rotors with aluminium carriers, thus higher energy efficiency
- lower gearing backlash, thus more precise positioning than conventional brake rotors with aluminium carriers
- due to damping material properties, lower noise level than conventional brake rotors, even in alternating apllications
- longer gearing life due to higher fatigue strength than aluminium carriers (gearingdoes not fail)
- increased protection against forgery since custom tools are required for production
- optimised functionality through the use of specifically selected material combinations
- wear- and strength-optimised sliding material in the inner area for power transmission
- friction material in the external area optimised for consistently high friction properties in a wide range of temperatures and applications
