New ETA Approval for Flaton-flex
Flaton-flex A and Flaton-flex EN are intumescent building materials that foam up in the event of a fire, thereby helping to effectively contain fire and smoke.
The ETA (European Technical Assessment) is a Europe-wide recognized assessment document that:
- verifies the performance of a construction product through testing and technical evaluations
- enables a uniform and transparent assessment of construction products
- forms the basis for CE marking when no harmonized European standard exists
This provides planning certainty for manufacturers, designers, installers, and building owners, and documents a product’s proven areas of application.
