Flaton-flex A 100 Now EPD Certified

Another step towards sustainability: An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) has now been successfully published and verified for our fire protection product Flaton-flex A 100.

Flaton-flex A 100 is an intumescent fire protection joint tape designed to seal structural joints in walls and floors. In the event of a fire, the material expands and helps prevent the spread of fire and smoke through joints and connection points. As a result, Flaton-flex A 100 makes an important contribution to preventive structural fire protection.

An Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) is an internationally recognized document that:

• is based on a scientifically verified Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
• transparently presents all relevant environmental impacts
• enables an independent and standardized evaluation of environmental performance

The EPD considers the entire product life cycle – from raw material extraction and production through to end-of-life disposal.
