REX metal sewing thread is a heat resistant industrial sewing thread made of 65% V2A stainless steel core and 35% cotton sheathing. It can be deployed wherever protection from extreme heat, sparks and/or chemicals is required.
It is corrosion resistant to water, alkalis, acids and organic solvents (depending on concentration and temperature).
Characteristics
Heat resistance:
- continual 500–600 °C
- 800 °C without mechanical stress.
- cotton content turns brown at 150 °C and chars without residue at higher temperature.
